Research Mission
Research is one of our missions. The Early Childhood Research Center (ECRC) is equipped with a large observation room with one-way mirror where researchers can observe the classrooms in session. We also record all sessions using a state of the art audio-visual recording system, which may also be used for research purposes.
With our well-equipped research facilities and flexible schedule, ECRC has been supporting research in teacher preparation, child development, child psychology, special education, exercise science and human nutrition, speech and language development, and a multitude of early childhood educational areas.
Join Us!
We welcome researchers from all departments at UB, the community, and other institutions to conduct their early childhood related research at ECRC. We are open to faculty and students, individual or group research, case studies or larger projects.
If you are interested in conducting your research at ECRC, please contact the Director. All research projects are subject to review by ECRC and approval by UB's Institutional Review Board.
